Know Your Customer's Rights

One of the many decisions when designing an e-commerce solution is mapping out when a credit card transaction is marked, finalized, canceled, or repeated. Knowing the rules will help you make the right decision for your customers and therefore for your business.

If you are doing JIT inventory, light assembly, or using a third-party drop shipper, always clearly state why or how long orders could be delayed.

Put your ordering process on a timeline and look at it from a consumer's perspective. What could you communicate to them during that process to keep them up to date?
